Besties DogSpa is a new dog salon opening soon in the Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego and we have multiple positions open. We plan to open 3-5 additional locations in the San Diego region in the next 3 years, so there is plenty of room for your career to grow with Besties. Founded by industry professionals, we understand the demands of the grooming profession and believe in treating our team members exceptionally. Bather
The role of a bather is an entry level position with Besties. Dog bathing experience is appreciated, but we are prepared to teach you everything you need to know. We are looking for candidates with good people skills and a love for dogs! We definitely offer a growth path for bathers that impress us with their skills and desire. Selected bathers will be offered the chance to attend a certified dog grooming school with the goal of becoming a groomer. If you are selected, you will receive your regular hourly pay while you attend school and we will pay your tuition! If you are interested in a career in dog grooming, then Besties is a great place to start. If you really just want to be a bather, then that is ok too. We want to work around your schedule and offer flexible options for both part-time and full-time team members.
Responsibilities: Bathe and dry pets, including brushing their coats and trimming their nails - Perform basic grooming tasks such as ear cleaning and teeth brushing - Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the bathing process - Maintain a clean and organized bathing area - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
Experience: Previous experience working as a pet bather or in a related field is welcomed, but not a requirement - Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments - Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $17-$21 per hour depending on experience and whether you are full-time or part-time

Entry Level Groomer
The role of an entry level dog groomer at Besties is an opportunity to thrive in a workplace that appreciates your skill set. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills at your pace with the support of more experienced groomers. If desired or needed, we will help you with continuing grooming education. Our team will include bathers to support our groomers, but in an entry level grooming position you will likely still be performing bathing duties. We believe the success of a grooming spa is deeply dependent on high-quality groomers, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional grooming services. We want to work around your schedule and offer flexible options for both part-time and full-time team members.
Responsibilities: Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer preferences - Bathe and dry pets, including brushing their coats and trimming their nails - Perform basic grooming tasks such as ear cleaning and teeth brushing - Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process - Maintain a clean and organized grooming area - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
Experience: Previous experience working as a pet groomer or in a related field is desired, but not a necessity - Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements - Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments - Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Training from a recognized national grooming organization (like IPG) is a huge plus
Pay: $19-$24 per hour depending on experience and whether you are full-time or part-time -

Experienced Groomer
The role of an experienced dog groomer at Besties Dog Spa is an opportunity to thrive in a workplace that appreciates your grooming experience. We believe the success of a grooming spa is deeply dependent on high-quality groomers, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional grooming services. We want to work around your schedule and offer flexible options for both part-time and full-time team members.
Responsibilities: Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer preferences in a proficient and timely manner - Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process - Maintain a clean and organized grooming area - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
Experience: 3-10 years of previous experience working as a pet groomer is required - Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements - Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments - Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Ability to perform creative cuts and dyeing is a plus - Training from a recognized national grooming organization (like IPG) is a plus
Pay: $24-$35 per hour depending on experience and whether you are full-time or part-time -

Master Groomer
Yes, we are referring to the equivalent of an IPG Master level groomer. This is your chance to have a highly meaningful impact on a grooming location. We are looking for individuals who are capable of managing all aspects of dog grooming at a location. Someone who is not only passionate about dog grooming, but also wants to help build and manage an effective grooming team. This is a critical position in our organization and we will create an attractive work environment for the right candidate. This is a full-time position and does have some management responsibilities.
Responsibilities: Grooming at a Master level - Build an effective bathing and grooming team - Encourage and help team members to grow and further their abilities - Effectively manage customer issues - Help us provide the best grooming facilities in San Diego - Just be amazing
Experience: A Master level IPG certification is not required, but you need to have that level of experience
Pay: $35-$40 per hour
Master Groomer But Just Wants To Groom
